I photograph maternity with an editorial eye. Minimal, intentional and emotive. My work focuses on form, light and natural connection, with an emphasis on clean composition and subtle detail. The result is imagery that feels contemporary yet timeless, refined without feeling posed and rooted in simplicity.

Why Book a Maternity Photoshoot?

Pregnancy is an exciting chapter that often passes without being properly documented. A maternity photoshoot gives you the opportunity to pause, reflect and preserve this moment in a way that feels personal. These portraits become a lasting reminder of a time filled with change, anticipation and quiet strength.

When to book

Maternity sessions are best scheduled between 28–34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully defined but you’re still feeling comfortable enough to move and pose with ease. It’s recommended to book your session in advance to secure availability, with final dates confirmed closer to the time.

What’s Included

Your maternity session includes a planned photoshoot, access to the studio and maternity wardrobe and a private online proofing gallery. You’ll select your favourite images, which will then be professionally edited in my signature style and delivered digitally. Additional images and keepsake options are available.

What to expect on the day

Maternity sessions are relaxed, guided and natural, lasting around 60 - 90 minutes. I’ll gently direct you throughout, helping you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. The focus is on creating natural, elegant portraits in a calm environment, with time for outfit changes and breaks if needed.

Styling, Wardrobe & Hair and Makeup

A maternity wardrobe is available for your session, featuring dresses and knits selected to photograph beautifully and complement my editorial style. You’re also welcome to bring your own outfits if you prefer. For a fully elevated experience, professional hair and makeup is available allowing you to arrive, relax and feel your best. See my packages below for hair and make up options.

Sessions take place at my studio, a comfortable and welcoming studio in a central Cambridge location. The space is fully equipped with heating and air conditioning, a seating area with a sofa where you can relax with full view of the photography area, as well as a toilet and changing facilities. Drinks and light snacks are available to help make your visit as comfortable as possible.

Your Questions, Answered

  • Yes. You don’t need any experience. Sessions are fully guided, relaxed, and designed to help you feel comfortable and confident throughout.

  • My maternity sessions are primarily focused on photographing women, allowing space to create calm, considered portraits that centre on this chapter. However, if you’d like to include your partner or children, I’m happy to offer a custom package to accommodate this. Please mention this at the time of enquiry so we can plan your session accordingly.

  • A curated maternity wardrobe is available for your session, featuring pieces chosen to photograph beautifully and suit my editorial style. You’re also very welcome to wear your own outfits, and I’m always happy to offer guidance on colours, fabrics, and styling to help you choose something that feels comfortable and timeless.

  • Maternity sessions last around 60-90 minutes, allowing time for outfit changes and a calm pace. If you have hair & make-up as part of your package, please allow an extra 1.5-2 hours.

  • You’ll receive your proofing gallery within the timeframe discussed at booking (usually 1-2 weeks), followed by your final edited images shortly after selection.
